I can't believe our Megan is 6!! We went out to dinner at Megan's favorite restaurant on her actual birthday (Red Robin). Aunt Jenny and Papa joined us. The staff came over to sing happy birthday to her and she got a funny look on her face while they were singing. When she was going to bed that night, she told me, "I was a little embarassed when they were singing. I was like 'okay....you can go now.'" I thought that was pretty funny. We gave her a digital camera that morning and she also said she wished she would have taken a picture of those people singing. A photographer in the making. To backtrack a bit, Aunt Jenny came over a little early since she was in the area and she took Megan for a mani/pedi. Very fancy. I have photos of that, but they're still on my camera phone.
Since we're on the subject of super Aunt Jenny.......Megan's fancy pool party took place in Jenny & Flip's new pool. When I say new, I mean the pool was finished on Friday and the party took place on Saturday! Wow, was that nice of them or what?! Here's a little photo gallery of the events on August 14th.

What a Month!
Well, August sure has been a busy month for us. At the beginning of the month, we were living it up at the beach and Portage Park Pool. We took Brenna and Sean with us on this particular outing. They had a grand ole time and we spent most of the day without them tiring out. As a matter of fact, I think I wanted to leave before they did (rare).
We also visited the Lincolnwood Fest. The kids had a great time, but we missed the $20 wristband time frame. Next year, we'll have to pay closer attention to the schedule. Either way, they had fun.
Here's Jake and Darin enjoying the slide:
The kids finished the soccer season strong. Well, at least Megan did. She played hard and had a great time.
While, Jake and Ryan clowned around a bit. I guess they had fun too :-)
