Bad Blogger

Christmas Eve

This is Megan on Christmas Eve. We went to Lisa's for a nice dinner with Darin's family and the kids had a great time playing with their cousins. Here's Jake's Christmas Eve photo:

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Day, my family came over. My dad made some homemade pizza and we just hung out. Again, the kids had a great time playing with their cousins. We actually got the 4 of them to sit still on the stairs for a second:

Christmas Day

The kids had a great time having all of us home for such a long weekend (and having Aunt Jenny and Uncle Flip stay with us), that it was really hard to get them going on the Monday after Christmas. They just wanted to stay in their pajamas all day. I don't blame them. This photo doesn't have anything to do with my story, but I liked it, so I'm including it:

Nice!

We had a small impromptu gathering on New Year's Day to watch the bowl games. It turned out to be pretty fun. Not bad for less than one day's notice! On the Sunday of the extended New Year's weekend, we went to Pierce's birthday party.....here's a little face time for Pierce:

Then, it was hard to get them going again after that weekend. I feel like we're getting back into our regular routine now. This past weekend, we went up to our cottage and there was a TON of snow. Darin shoveled a big pile of snow and started tossing the kids into it. They were getting some big air. Check out old stiff legs:

And the inevitable face plant:

I think that photo might rival my Worst Mother Award fish photo from last May. (Feel free to check out the earlier post if you're not familiar with that reference - or if you'd like to see it again for a good laugh).

Of course, Megan could have done that all night.

Whoa!

She perfected her form after a while to really get some air:

Good one....

And, here's the nice, soft landing:

All in all, it's been a whirlwind couple of weeks. Hopefully I'll start to get caught up and update a little more regularly.
